Spend a day learning film photography from the ground up. We start over coffee with the fundamentals — how a camera works, exposure, and composition — then put it straight into practice on a hike and finish the day developing our own black & white film together in the Wheelhouse darkroom.
No experience or gear required — we provide a 35mm camera and two rolls of black & white film for you. Just bring yourself and a curiosity for film photography.
How the day runs
- Morning — meet in town at 8:00am sharp for coffee and a snack while we cover the basics: how a film camera works and how to use it, the exposure triangle, how to read light, and more. Then we'll head out on a nature hike to shoot our film together.
- Afternoon — regroup at the Wheelhouse to develop our film as a group and see what we made.
