Join us as we open the studio to the public for the first time — BBQ, free hands-on clay, crafting, a first look preview of Telluride's newest upcoming public art, and more!
Free and open to everyone.
What's happening
- BBQ all evening — burgers, hot dogs, veggie patties, sides, NA drinks, and more. On us.
- Hands-on clay, free — wheels, slab roller, and hand-building tables open all evening. First-timers welcome; one of our members will be on hand to help you get started.
- Public art preview — Ophir-based artist and Wheelhouse member Kirk Drogsvold shares concepts for his new public art project, open for viewing and feedback.
- Crafting — Colleen Thompson of Moon Bear Jewels will be guiding a free crafting activity starting at 6 PM.
- Ceramics popup sale — handmade work for sale, straight from the people who made it.
- Studio tour — curious about joining or just what we're up to down here? We're happy to show you around and answer any questions.
What to bring
- Just yourself — plus a friend, partner, or the kids if you'd like. All ages welcome.
- A side dish or dessert to share, if the mood strikes (totally optional).
